In Case You Missed It…

I actually posted not once, but twice over the weekend. Little stuff, but hey, I posted.

I have three other posts being worked on, but working on them at work is a bit challenging at times. They should be out later in the week. *crosses fingers*

The drunken holy pally and her pointy sword of doom!

The drunken holy pally and her pointy sword of doom!

In my last post, I mentioned that Rhy got herself a shiny new toy last night in Ulduar. I didn’t know that Flame Leviathan dropped anything other than the trinkets (Energy Siphon – have,Pyrite Enfuser), tanking bracers, and DPS necklace (also have), but then this dropped.

Needless to say, the pally is quite happy with her pointy sword of doom.

Lana-Cat!

My baby druid (can I really call her that anymore?) hit 65 yesterday, and I was all ready to take her over to Borean Tundra so she could get her Grand Master training in Inscription. Well, the problem was I only met one of the requirements – Lana’s only 318/375 right now, and she has to be 350/375. Yeah, blonde moment there.

I did get a good pic of her in travel form while she was on the boat, though.

Lanatha heading over to Borean Tundra.

And, this is where it’s safe to be around her…she’s rather fond of nuking things that make her cranky. Oh, yeah, and then there’s the whole pouncing of gnomes thing – it’s probably best if you don’t ask why she does that. >.>

Several posts upcoming today, as I’m actually ditching the work raid (ho boy…I’m barely kidding about that – we got hit with our other site’s work unexpectedly around 8:15 yesterday morning) to take most of the day off to do NOTHING…work-related. Still running myself ragged, but recovery time is coming soon (I hope >.<).

Me again! For anyone who follows me on Twitter, you already know that my life at work has gone through a pretty massive upheaval this week. That’s meant that my focus has been on that and not much else (yeah, not done with Noblegarden yet, unlike everyone else and their brother). It hasn’t been a good week in the slightest personally, in-game, or for the blog.

The past two days with having to take over the leadership role in my department have truly been a learning experience for me, both in good and, um, painful ways (which have me nauseous at the thought or mention of alcohol now). Because of the way I found out and how it just kind of snowballed, I was in extremely bad shape emotionally Wednesday. Yesterday wasn’t that great either.

This change is temporary, and as a sign of me acting more like the responsible 29-year old I’m supposed to be (okay, so the getting drunk thing, not so responsible, I know), I told my boss I’d stay in the position as long as needed. This could end as early as Monday, or the job could just be posted and I’ll be stuck for a little longer. Either way, it would be wrong of me to say I won’t help out.

It goes without saying that I’ll be glad when I’m back to just being second in charge.

I do need to say thanks to everyone who has offered hugs, support, and advice (Brigwyn and Arrens especially – /pouncehugs and I owe you guys *g*). I can’t totally promise work-rant-free tweets, but things should be smoother from here on out.

Now, if they’d just get rid of the “no cell phones in the pharmacy” rule so I can go back to my normal interaction. Guess I can’t win every war, huh?

Okay, enough of that. I leave you with bunnies, courtesy of a late evening H-DTK run and Darkhelmet, the smooshy gnome warrior (aka Rhy’s Pygmy Oil dealer):

(Our fifth, Gwenora, hadn’t been summoned yet. He did, however, get bunny-fied, thanks to Dark. *g*)

All of us WoW players who have either been big into pet collecting or are loving the achievement system introduced to the game know that Children’s Week is upon us once again. That’s right – time to drag your orphans around Azeroth and Outland to show them the sights and hope that they don’t get attacked by the Bronzes in the Caverns of Time…again. This year brings in the For the Children achievement, with it’s lovely sub-achievement of School of Hard Knocks.

But, that’s not what this post is about. Brigwyn over at The Hunting Lodge is holding theChildren’s Week Child’s Play Charity Auction and it’s running from today until May 7th. There’s a pretty big list of items that are going to be auctioned off (side note: that last link is worth the read – if you haven’t yet), with all the proceeds going to Child’s Play.

For those who don’t know, Child’s Play donates things like movies, books, and games to children’s hospitals worldwide. If you go to their site, you can see the wish lists of items for the hospitals (like this one for Children’s Mercy here in Kansas City, MO).

So, take a bit to look over what’s up for grabs, and donate to help out a very good cause.

(Also, /salute to Brig for doing this!)

Just a Little Behind

Well, guess who – despite saying she wasn’t going to hit up Noblegarden ’til tomorrow-ish – got distracted by candy, flowers, and pretty clothes?

Yeah, ya got me…I did at least start the MPP, and the “Lesa’s Got a Backstory for Rhyane” post, so stuff will get posted tomorrow night.

I also wanted to run H CoS really bad, and one of my guildies hit 80 on his rogue, so we went in and rocked the place. All in all, it was a good night: achievements were obtained, the pally had bunny ears on her head, and we were all entertaining each other on TeamSpeak and Skie was on Stickam. It was a good night, and the goofing around was much needed.

So, new stuff tomorrow..in the meantime, there’s always the old stuff if you haven’t read it yet.
